Education in media context: What aspects are mediated by the media environments
and “virtual space” for teaching and research practices?

Abstract:
In the context of
media pedagogy the paper will be primarily interested in discussing the benefit
of media-environments in citizenship education. The desirable learner’s
activeness is stimulated by learning systems and virtual space, learner´s
critical reading/viewing skills, media production activities, choice in media
consumption, analysis of cultural, social, political, and economic contexts of
the mass media are very important aspects that can teachers point out for
themselves in the civic education methodology of use and assessment of the
media environments.
